Re-Souce Somatic Studio
You deserve time and space to reconnect to yourself.
A refuge where you can nourish yourself is not a selfish thing. It’s an act of service. If we want to keep showing up for the people, places, and values we hold dear, without burning out, we must create this time and space to return to our bodies, our center, and our source.
If you’re feeling disconnected from your body, you’re not alone.
Between the unrelenting 24-hour news cycle, the endless-scroll of social media algorithms, and the various uncertainties of this historical moment, we are all consuming more information than ever before—but with less time and space to fully digest it.
If you ever find yourself feeling overwhelmed, helpless, scattered, or disconnected, you’re in good company. Our nervous systems weren’t designed to exist in such an over-stimulating world. And yet, this moment is calling for us to stay connected and engaged, as best we can. Each of us has a unique medicine to offer this world. In order to offer it, we can’t keep pouring from an empty cup.
What are the rituals that help you re-center and re-source yourself?
I don’t have all the answers, and I’ll never claim to. But I do believe with all my heart in the power of our practices.
Rhythmic rituals that help us reconnect to our deepest, truest self—these are what have fostered humanity’s resilience throughout history. Our mammalian, human bodies deeply crave this kind of embodied, sensory nourishment.
We need this not just to “regulate” our nervous systems—although yes, that too—but also to help us reconnect to our agency and our indestructible essence within.
The holistic, integrative pathways of yoga and somatics are what you’ll discover here in the Re-Source Somatic Studio. We’ll explore these embodiment practices together through a trauma-informed lens.
take refuge & re-source
Re-Source is an oasis where we can practice together across time and space.
One part yoga studio, one part somatic practice catalogue. And growing all the time.
Inside, you’ll discover:
Full-length trauma informed yoga practices
Hour-long yoga practices for you to do any time. These practices are designed to support you in connecting to your body and sense of agency. Created with trauma in mind, but with no mention of trauma in the practices themselves. This time is for you to connect with yourself on your mat. No way to do it wrong.
Short & sweet mini-practices in the somatic practice library
Learn and practice with a variety of stand-alone tools in the somatic practice library. These include breathwork, movement, perceptual exercises, and meditations.
This is an evolving space. Subscribe for as long as you want, and watch it grow.
During the pandemic years, I offered trauma informed yoga on Zoom and recorded every practice. Over 200 of them.
I want to share those recordings with you here. Editing and uploading all those videos is a time-consuming process.
Rather than wait to launch Re-Source until after I’ve uploaded everything, I’ve decided to share early access now for a reduced monthly rate.
There are already over 20 hour-long practices live on the site and waiting for you. I’ll keep uploading new ones regularly. As I do, I will gradually increase the subscription price.
However, you will remain locked in at the current discounted rate, for as long as you keep your current subscription.
When you join , you’ll continue to be receive this discounted monthly rate for as long as you stay subscribed— even as the studio grows and the price increases.
Notes from those who’ve practiced with me online:
-
"The freedom to practice with choices, without judgement (my own), and Elena’s compassion and patience are exactly what I have needed for my body. Every week I become more aware of my growing sense of groundedness.”
Former yoga participant
-
"It’s so accessible! I’m often unable to make live classes, so having recordings makes it possible for me to practice at all. I think Elena does a really tremendous job with the online format, because she still brings that in-person energy and it feels very welcoming and supportive. I like virtual classes also because it takes away all the pressure of looking or being a certain way.”

"Shame is a really prominent feeling for me in my life, and I’m very conditioned to think about what I SHOULD do, as opposed to what I genuinely want to do. This practice has been so helpful for me in practicing choice and having agency. I can show up and practice in the ways that feel useful for me that day."

Hi. I’m Elena.
I’ve been practicing yoga for 20 years, and teaching for nearly a decade.
Though I’m knowledgeable in my craft, I hold deep reverence for the fact that you are the one and only expert on your experience. You’ll never hear me tell you what you “should” or “shouldn’t” do, or assert that my way is the only “right” way to do things. I fully trust that you are the very best expert on what’s right for you, and that carries over into how I facilitate yoga.
My intention with creating this space is to offer a living, evolving resource for all of us to reconnect to ourselves, at the level of mind, body, and spirit.
As much as this space is designed for you, I created it for myself, too. Sharing these practices helps me stay consistent with them, and I am grateful for that. These practices are such a gift in my life, and I hope they are for you too!
Frequently asked questions:
-
Nothing fancy. A yoga mat is helpful, but if you don’t have one, you could use a folded blanket to start.
For the vast majority practices you don’t need much else!
-
That’s fine! You can cancel right from your computer, and when you do, you’ll continue to have access to Re-Source for the rest of your current pay-period.
I’m unfortunately not able to provide refunds if you accidentally cancel late, so please do plan ahead if you need to cancel.
You’re always warmly welcome to come back any time (though the price may be different when you sign back up, just a friendly heads up!)

Right now, most of the yoga is similar the trauma sensitive yoga classes I currently offer elsewhere. These are not “alignment focused” classes—rather, they are opportunities to move in ways that feel right to you, with opportunities to tune into sensation and to make choices woven throughout.
“I don’t feel like I’m judging the quality of my movements anymore; I’m just noticing how things feel. There’s such a deep comfort in being able to move this freely.”
